ePS (eProductivity Software), a provider of ERP and software solutions for label and packaging manufacturers, together with Esko, a global supplier of integrated software and hardware solutions for labels and packaging, have teamed with CarbonQuota, a pioneer in scientifically validated carbon footprint measurement. The three companies have announced a brand new integrated solution.

This partnership unites workflow automation, ERP, and carbon intelligence into a single, seamless job record, from design to delivery.

The companies will unveil the new combined offering at Packaging Innovations Birmingham on February 11–12. The presentation will take place at the Discovery Theatre on February 12 at 1:00 PM.

Value Through Connectivity

As regulatory demands and consumer expectations increase, the pressure on brand owners and packaging converters intensifies. This collaboration addresses these challenges by connecting Esko’s Automation Engine and S2 platform with ePS’ ERP and CarbonQuota’s validated carbon calculation engine. The result is a single, connected source of high-quality, decision-ready data across the packaging lifecycle. By ensuring information is consistently accurate and readily available, the integration enables users to make informed decisions with confidence, building trust with customers and supporting long-term performance and growth.

Benefits

  • Faster Speed-to-Market: By automating the link between ERP and prepress, the solution removes manual interventions. This significantly reduces turnaround times and the risk of costly errors.
  • Operational Profitability: The solution captures data once and reuse it across the entire lifecycle. This further reduces administrative overhead and protects margins as print runs shorten and cycle times tighten.
  • Defensible Sustainability: The companies embed carbon intelligence directly into the workflow to provide an auditable, estimate-to-actual sustainability record without switching tools or re-keying data. This delivers certified, auditable CO₂e data to meet packaging buyers’ sustainability requirements. It also supports corporate ESG reporting while improving transparency and reducing greenwashing risk.

Driving Efficiency and Transparency

“With this integration, jobs that once required multiple manual steps can now be produced through a single, fully automated workflow,” says Geert De Proost, director, Product Offering, Esko. “Moreover, a single unified source of truth empowers brand owners to calculate the carbon emissions of their packaging with confidence.”

“Our collaboration focuses on process efficiency,” adds Craig Tait, CPO, ePS. “The bundled solution can be deployed in days. It delivers timely, consistent, and defensible carbon metrics that support both internal sustainability targets and external reporting requirements.”

Dominic Harris, Co-Founder of CarbonQuota, commented: “Providing real-time, product-level carbon footprints directly within existing workflows eliminates manual processes and removes the risk of inaccurate calculations. It’s a genuine game-changer for the industry.”

Future-Proofing the Industry

Together, Esko, ePS, and CarbonQuota deliver a “Packaging Connected” solution that unites automation, accuracy, and sustainability. The result helps packaging businesses future-proof their operations in an increasingly complex and regulated market.
